CRM integration: is it worth it for a small business website?

If every enquiry from your website currently lands in an inbox and someone manually adds it to your CRM, that's a small, repeated bit of admin a website can just do for you. Here's when it's worth the setup.

What it does

Your site's contact form and booking enquiries get pushed automatically into your own CRM, through a webhook or a Zapier or Make-compatible connection, rather than you copying details across by hand. Your CRM stays the system of record, the site just feeds it.

What it needs

You'll need your own account with your CRM, and it needs a webhook or a Zapier/Make-compatible way to receive leads. Most popular small business CRMs support this out of the box. If you're not sure whether yours does, that's worth checking before you commit to the add-on.

What it costs

CRM integration is a £350 add-on. Because it's an ongoing sync that can quietly stop working if something changes on either end, sites with it need at least the Standard maintenance plan, so it gets watched rather than silently failing.

When to skip it

If you don't run a CRM, or you get a handful of enquiries a month and typing them in takes thirty seconds, this is solving a problem you don't have. It earns its keep once the volume, or the number of people handling leads, makes manual entry genuinely error-prone.
