Every build package, whether Starter, Growth or Premium, plants 5 trees through Tree-Nation (opens in a new tab). Running a website has a carbon cost, and planting trees is a small, practical way to give something back for each one I build.
How it works
Step 1: You book a build
Once your contract is signed and your deposit is paid, your trees are ordered. There's nothing extra to pay and nothing for you to do.
Step 2: They're planted at one of three projects
5 trees go to one of the projects below, planted and looked after by local communities through Tree-Nation.
Step 3: You get a certificate for each tree
Each one shows where your tree was planted and the species. You'll find them in your client portal, with an estimate of the CO₂ your trees will capture.

Each build's trees are planted together at one of these three projects. All three restore forests while giving the people who live alongside them a better living.
Kenya
Bore
Working with subsistence farmers near Kenya's threatened tropical forests to grow food and timber crops, so the forest itself is left standing. Running since 2007.

Mangrove Restoration Project
Replanting mangroves along Kenya's coastline, where they protect the shore and store carbon. Local nurseries and planting give people a living that doesn't depend on cutting the mangroves down.

Restoration and Social Empowerment
Supporting community-owned forests (ejidos) to restore land damaged by wildfire, erosion and illegal logging. The communities lead the planting and upkeep, often with women at the forefront.

Proof, not a promise
Every tree is registered with Tree-Nation in your business's name. Its certificate tells you where it was planted, the project looking after it, and the species, and you can follow the project's updates as your trees grow.
Your certificates, and a running total of your trees and the CO₂ they're estimated to capture, are in your client portal from the moment they're planted.
If you'd rather your business's name wasn't on the certificates, tell me before you finish onboarding and I'll keep it off. Your trees are planted just the same, and your company name isn't sent to Tree-Nation.
